Door het solide acteerwerk is In the Shadow of the Moon zeker een kijkbeurt waard, want ondanks dat het een Science Fiction/thriller is, gebeurt er op het vlak van special en visual effects bijzonder weinig. Daarentegen is het verhaal wel enorm interessant en zorgt een goede plotwending in de slotfase voor een voldaan gevoel.
