Happy new year! A new year doesn't just mean all sorts of new movies to look forward to (like Mickey 17 or Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning) but also an old year to look back on and an opportunity to watch some good movies you missed.

So, are you looking to watch a good movie? Consider watching one of the best movies of 2024! Those are currently The Wild Robot, Dune: Part Two, A Real Pain, Conclave, Inside Out 2, We Live in Time, Wicked, and The Substance.

In the review of 2023 I had watched seven of the best movies of 2023. This year I have again watched seven of the best movies, with only Wicked getting past me.

Some of the good movies haven't yet been broadly watched like Anora and Memoir of a Snail so they could still break through to the best movies of 2024. Look at the rest of the most rated movie of 2024.

Looking for a bad movie to see? Consider one of the worst movies of 2024, which are currently Madame Web, Megalopolis, Something in the Water, Unfrosted, Night Swim, Kraken: The Hunter, Drive-Away Dolls, and Afraid.

In 2022 and 2023 I managed to not see any of the worst movies of that year! This past year was different, I even saw three of the worst films of the year. With Megalopolis I knew what I was getting into and with Drive-Away Dolls and Afraid I saw the potential (which unfortunately was not realized).
