Roma is prachtig in elkaar gezet. De film is volledig zwart/wit dat toch wel de beladen sfeer en het melodramatische karakter van het verhaal extra kracht bijzet. Maar Roma dankt het succes voor een groot deel aan het ijzersterke debuut van Yalitza Aparicio.

Gedurende 1 uur en 30 minuten hypnotiseerde de prachtige cinematografie van Roma ons, tot de regisseur ons voor de laatste 45 minuten met een knuppel wakker schudde!
