This might be better than the first one. It really, truly (and finally) starts to build on the lore of the games. Review
This film is a car that never gets into it’s second gear. Not because it couldn’t but because the director never shifts the car into 2nd. Review
What a pile of utter garbage. Jared Leto is TERRIBLE. Like I don’t know what he’s even doing. Review
This is yet another example of Colin West being talented and I’d argue it’s his best example. The writing is sharp enough and his work behind the lens is as such that you’re constantly enthralled by the work. Review
This is a fun, funny, and fairly smart piece of animated cinema. Chang’s voiceover work as Meilin is well done and Sandra Oh is perfect as Meilin’s mom Ming. Review
What an intelligently written piece of horror cinema. Well-acted and sharply directed. Review
This is a film with an interesting concept that never quite gets off the ground. The writing is what lets this down. Everything that happens here sort of feels choreographed. Review
It’s a good-hearted and fairly enjoyable film. I think this is one that can work for families, to an extent, and really tries to get its message across. Review
This is seriously the best we could do with the rich world of the Uncharted video games? The disappointment here is real and big. Review
This is a good but not great piece. One that is sort of niche. Fans of the band will probably really enjoy this but outside of that, I’m uncertain there’s a lot to grasp. Review
A good sequel that doesn’t necessarily build off of the first film but instead builds with what was already established. There are some thing holding the film back, mostly the acting and that is a minority. Review
It tries really hard. It really does. But it is cursed by its own lack of intelligence. Review
I love when Soderbergh puts together something interesting. Sharp and well put together this is most definitely a film audience will love. Review
This is an unwatchable mess, and I solely blame Pece Dingo. There are talented actors here all falling by the wayside because of this director who hasn’t directed anything in around 30 years. Review
It gets tangled in a trend of too many tropes. It’s funny enough as it is but never allows the audience to see the forest through the trees. Review
Amy Poehler paints a portrait of two lovers loving each other and what they do. Of the consumption of time that their success caused. Review
A spectacle that’s firmly planted in Reeves’ indie philosophies. It’s an experiment that works at all levels. Dark, brooding and unbelievably realistic. Review
Based on Archer’s short of the same name this is a lovely portrait of the importance of other people in our lives. Review
The biggest thing for me with this was the writing. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger have written here a smart, witty, and heartfelt look at the modern romance gone wrong. Review
Solid and funny. This is a film that has it’s heart in the right place and tells a predictable but welcomed story. Review
This is a movie that has been done far better in other movies. Equal parts If I Stay and Before I Fall and featuring the worst parts of these movies. Review
Jeff Tramaine, like some sort of genius, is the perfect guy to be behind the lens for these. See this one. It’ll have you in stitches…much like its protagonists. Review
Wallace Shawn is harmless. Gina Gershon is good and Garrel and Anaya make for great supporting characters even if they’re let down by Woody’s writing. Review
I hated this movie. I hated it with most every fiber of my being. It felt manipulative and gross. Review
